“Maybe kill them first just in case. You can’t have all sorts of people just walking about.”she shrugged before stiffling out a smile. She wasn’t really sure she was sent from heaven. More like pits of hell but the siren didn’t have to know. “Shoes or no shoes, there are people with horribly heavy feet and besides, would you want someone’s bare feet stepping on yours? I mean who knows if they have any sort of skin problems?” Maya said as she wrinkled her nose a little bit, clearly going a bit past the joke. “Very adaptable then are you?” Maya asked with a slight smile
“But killing them risks leaving traces back to me, and the police chief already said I’m not fit for jail!” She couldn’t help but laugh with the brunette, having fun with all of this, and honestly just loving to make fun of things, rather than to be worrying about everything. “Okay now you’ve just horrified me, and I need to find skin colored leggings so no one steps on my bare feet!” She shook her head as if it was the worst worry in the world. “I’m adaptable enough. Everyone deserves to be given a chance to be comfortable, so if I have to change my plans a little, that’s fine”
“Exactly! Imagine how many bags you’ll be able to carry then,” Marcus said, once again jumping on the joke wagon. He couldn’t help it, he just liked the light and friendly atmosphere and he liked establishing good relationships with his clients. “That’s what I like to hear,” Marcus repeated again, still appreciating her ‘can do attitude’. However, he had to agree with her on the second part, “I know, I know. Wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“I’m going to empty the stores when I go shopping then, no need to think about if i can carry everything!” She joked back to him, just having fun with it. She liked to make friends with everyone, and considering some of the positions Marcus would end up seeing her in… Yeah she’d rather be friendly with him, than grumpy. “I’m glad you’re expecting the cursing, because otherwise I’d really have to wonder if you go too easy on all your other clients”
“Think that would be all those dry martinis, hence why I changed to something else,” he said with a wink and one of his infectious grins. It took a lot to hurt his ego and this just wasn’t doing it. And besides, not like he thought Victoria would try to do that. While both of them might be obsessed with their looks, they are mature enough to flatter each other rather than rile each other up. “Well you could have come straight to me at the buffet earlier and we would have moaned together,” he shrugged before gliding over to her side, “and besides, who cares what anyone in here thinks. They are merely just people and look at you and me,” he said with a big grin before he took a sip of his drink.
“Well I think you can as well, I’m a company that cannot be resisted really. Not that I’m bragging of course,” he nodded, feigning seriousness. “Ah, that’s fair enough, I respect that.” It was pretty cool of her to do that given that most of people in there didn’t have it in them to go alone and just roam around. “I’m not alone,” he shrugged before motioning with his hand towards all the people. “I’m here with everyone. And I’m here with you as you can see. I didn’t think it would be fair to limit myself by coming with one person. Didn’t want people to get jealous of each other. You know how it is.”
“Definitely all the dry martinis. They just… Dry you right up” She teased back at him, not having an issue with joking about looks with people like him. They were both superficial, but they were also both fully aware of what they were doing. Of who they were too. “Well I would have had to have seen you at the buffet, which I didn’t. Not that I was looking for anyone but food. I have just been absolutely starving for some good food, and there it was, tempting as nothing else. Not even you, as wonderful as we both are, managed to overcome the temptation of a good fish dish” She teased, smiling back up at him.
“You’re totally not bragging! Only telling the truth, always and forever, right? That’s how it always is” She said with a little shake of her head. She was really just having fun and laughing about it. “Oh my… Did you just… Respect something?” She was joking, but having to push on it, she feigned shock, holding a pale hand up to cover her mouth as she looked shocked. “Well, if you’re rocking that style, I suppose you’re here with me too tonight then!”
“Aw, such a shame.” She feigned a pout, but she could drink some mad fruity drinks just without booze added as well. It was just seldom people came in a place like this to drink something that was not full of alcohol. “ Sure thing. Umm… one thing. Sweet or sour?”
“Such a big big shame” She said jokingly with a nod of her head. But she was who she was, and she wasn’t a big fan of getting drunk. Really, she wasn’t a big fan of drunks either, she really just preferred for people to keep their mind. “Sweet. I definitely like it sweet”
“You’re impressed? That’s good.” It was part of his aim. But honestly, it was not a hard thing for him to impress with materialistic things. She placed her order and the waiter left them alone at least. For now. Franco took the moment to let his hand slip under the table and lay it on her thigh. It was exposed, but his fingertips slipped under the hem of the dress. A tall man had large arms, he didn’t have to do much effort to reach it. But going any deeper would require her to move a little closer. And she would definitely want to move a little closer. Whether it be before or after the dinner. “So, Victoria. Tell me something you haven’t told anyone before? Just tell me. I promise, I will keep it a secret. Just between me and you.”
“Well, yeah? Not everyone would bother actually getting a table like this, nor do they have good pick in wine” she said with a little smile on her face. Victoria’s eyes going wide for a moment as she suddenly felt the touch of his fingers against her skin, and she looked over at him, watching his face while he was doing something as little as just moving his fingers under her skirt. Scooting just a little bit further out on the chair, she wasn’t about to reach fully over. Just a little at the time. “Something I’ve never told anyone” She repeated his words, letting her mind just walk through things she hadn’t really told anyone. “Hmm… Well… All my friends back in New York thought my first kiss was with this guy in our class, but it was just fake. It was actually with a teacher, after I graduated High school. He was human, and didn’t know about supernaturals, so he had constantly been interested due to my voice, or something”
“Oh darling, I don’t have to be in the water to be in my element,” he grinned at the redhead before adding cheekily, “but that’s something that’s quite obvious, I believe.” Glancing at the fork that she was holding, Evan offered her a quick shrug before leaning down and taking a bite as she said before letting out a small moan. “This is nothing that I haven’t been doing since I’ve arrived here if I’m being honest with you,” he said once he swallowed his bite. “The food tonight is genuinely too good to not moan at it at every chance you get.”
As a waiter carrying drinks passed closer to them, Evan reached out and grabbed two glasses before offering one to Victoria, “Have a drink with me, Red,” he said in a soft sing a song voice, “And tell me how come you’re here by yourself tonight?”
“You sure? Because you are looking a little… Dry” She was just teasing him. The two were after all both sirens, and both could be quite obsessed with looks. nd they were both aware of it. She held up the fork to him lips as he bit onto it, taking the food from her. “Well then you can stick to my side honey boy, because I am tired of the looks I’m getting for just moaning at food. It’s just a little moan, it’s not like it should be looked at like such a crazy thing” she said with a little shrug, before she took a bite herself from the fish.
A laugh escaping her lips as she took the glass from him, placing the fish on the table so she could actually have a hand free at a time. “A drink? I suppose I can have one of those with you” She teased as she tasted the drink, glncing around. “I didn’t feel like asking anyone to go with me, and I wanted to go? I’m still somewhat new here compared to so many, that honestly, it was easier to just go alone, than askin everyone to come with me. How come you’re here alone?”
“Well, think I’ll be joining you on that then,” Clara said before making her own food remark, “except for food because that works slightly different for me.” Joys of being a vampire eh? Not that there weren’t ways that maybe her condition would be reversed but for some reason she never really thought about them. “Putting a summer in a drink, huh? I’ll be stealing that phrase from you just so you know,” Clara laughed as she took a sip of her own drink
“Feel welcome, I’m always happy to have people join my team” the redhead said with a bit of a laugh, grinning to the other. She would honestly just have fun making new friends, and that was all she wanted to do. “Yeah, I could survive of just fish, or of just sexual energy, actually. But I like eating” she was a bit strange like that really. “Do steal it. I stole it from mom, and she stole it from her friend”
“Can’t imagine anyone loves them really. And yes, I second that” she nodded before fixing her glasses on her nose. “That’s good then! But luckily I can fix you up the lotions and the creams now so you should be good either way.” Maya was lowkey proud of her little creation and the impact that it had for anyone who got sunburnt. “Awesome that works for me.” she said with a smile. “I’m not the best dancer there is, pretty sure your feet will be thanking you later for not dancing with me,” she laughed before nodding at Victoria again, “Thanks for that, not many people appreciate the fact that I am not a person for crowds. But I will let you know if I change my mind.”
“If anyone does, let’s stay clear of them? Because really, whoever does is clearly insane”she said with a little chuckle. “Yes you can! You seriously have to be sent from heaven with this saving you’re bringing, honestly.” Victoria had no problem saying things like this, and she was quite honestly just someone who loved to have fun, and make friends. Especially friends she could be overly cuddly to. “Oh please, I’m awful at dancing myself! It’s all about the fun though, and if you’re afraid of stepping on toes? Just don’t wear shoes” she said teasingly. “We all have different kinds of needs and comforts. I am a people person, and I love having people around, but honestly, if someone isn’t comfortable with crowds, they’re going to suffer, and if they suffer, I’ll suffer too. It’s always better to just grab a cup of coffee another day then”
“Oh don’t worry, we’re not done until you’re twice my size and have to walk sideways to go through the door,” Marcus said in a serious tone before shooting Victoria a playful smile and a wink to let her know he was joking. “Core it is!” he nodded before sitting down on the ground. “For starters we’re going to do the bicycle crunches, then we’re gonna do the bridge excercise followed by V sit, plank and side plank and if you survive that then we’ll do a few relaxing exercises so you don’t tense up later.”
“well perfect! I’ll have an excuse to go shopping!” She said with a laugh, having fun with just messing around with him and having a laugh. Really, Victoria didn’t even care about building lots of muscle or anything, she just wanted to feel fit, and look a little more fit. To look less skinny, and more toned. She nodded and down down on the ground with him, stretching out her legs. “Got it boss. Though I might curse a bit at you during the plank”
“That’s no bad thing. Sex is embarrassing at the best of times. You have to be comfortable to ask for what you want,” he nodded. Aries has gotten over the embarrassing nature of it long ago and now knows just to ask his partner for what he wants. He could see her eyes widen and a cheeky smirk started to appear. “Mhm I’m older than Jesus,” he nodded. “Yet they didn’t make a religion out of my birth,” he sighed.
“What is it like? Well I hated it at first. I mean going from a human to needing to feed off your own kind to live breeds a lot of self loathing. Then when you figure out you can see what goes beyond your life. What comes after it kind of becomes quite cool. As for making progeny, you can make mistakes. Some take to it well, some really don’t. It’s lonely if you don’t make progeny so eventually everyone tries,” he told her. He didn’t mind curiosity. Showed signs of an intelligent mind.
“Yes. Exactly, but such as life as an adult means you actually have to earn a living,” he shrugged.”Even when you get to my age and my spending habits,” he chuckled “Pets will do that to you. Zeus has the best puppy dog eyes, so tends to get away with a lot,” he shook his head.
“yeah, definitely. Like, I’ve had sex, it’s not that. But I don’t know, I’ve had one night stands, and I’ve had sex with friends and I just… Prefer with friends. But I don’t reallyknow if I have anyone here in town that i really can call friends. More… Acquaintances?” She gave a little shrug of her shoulders. “Well, I think you should be happy you’re not having to deal with a religion. Imagine never getting a break to talk with those you wish to, because people want to control you”
She listened to him patiently as he spoke about creating other vampires, about how it was to have prodigies and such. “So.. It is sort of like kids? Because I can imagine when I’m like… A hundred years old, and probably still don’t have kids, it’ll be lonely. “ she suggested, wondering if it was anything like that. “Though, I can’t even imagine how it is to chance species. I mean, I was born this way, and has always been like this way”
“Oh definitely. I’m just lucky really, and found my dream job early on. But Mocha… she’s asleep most of the time” she said with a little chuckle She loved her job though. “They’re just too cute to be mad at!”
